If you’d like to start building your own RepRap Prusa Mendel 3D printer, you’ll need to start with some printed parts. You’ll also need the required hardware (‘vitamins’) which you can source locally or online from various vendors.
The original one includes everything in the above photo (including an updated Wade’s Extruder and 2 pulley’s not shown) and requires 12 PLA bushings (not included nor available here yet). This is the set most people start with.
All parts are (currently) being printed in ABS plastic on a MakerBot Thing-O-Matic with a Mk6 Stepstruder on a heated build surface. All parts are printed with at least 30-40% honeycomb infill (gears are 50%) using a 0.4mm nozzle and 0.28mm layer height. Some cleanup of parts will be necessary (some parts print with bolt holes sealed) but is easily done with a hobby knife.

I’m no longer offering Prusa Iteration 2 parts by default here due to problems with folks getting proper vitamin kits. Send an email if you really want this set.

Shipping & handling is $20 via Canada Post to anywhere in the US and Canada and comes with a tracking number and insurance. International shipping options coming soon but contact us for a quote BEFORE you place your order (expect shipping to be at least $40US on average depending on international destination).
